It is a name made to imagine whether "Wakasa-imo" has a special taste. Too, the special thing is contained. Seemingly, sea tangle is contained although it is sweets. It is said that it put in in order to express the line of a potato.
It was not "Wakasa-imo" but a name of the "baked sweet potato" at first. Then, it is said that owner's name was taken and it was made "Wakasa-imo" so that it may not be imitated in other stores.

It seems that the seen touch has imitated and made the sweet potato. If a smell is smelled, there will be a complicated scent like a cuttlefish like a potato. When it eats, it is transparent, a few is bit and there is existing sea tangle which responds. The whole is touch like a potato. It is the nice touch , or not so. Such sweets used to be made. I think that it is the way of thinking which is not considered now.
