Thousand pieces pickles is as popular pickles as unexpected. It has eaten, if it is a Japanese. But when thought well, the hand was applied considerably. It is the thinness which cannot be cut by a kitchen knife, and they are white and delicate pickles.
The turnip of Shogo-in in Kyoto Tanba is shaved off like a wood shavings. After preserving in salt, it is sea tangle, sugar, and vinegar, and soaks.

There is the taste of a turnip perfectly too. It is acid and there is flavor which is not in preserving in salt. Pickles match boiled rice too. Pickles are tastes of Japan. Boiled rice is eaten only by a turnip. So characteristic a portion is not felt. But, it is fairly nice by the clean taste.
