Japanese Noted Foods  Nanbu Cracker
 Report

If it is called Nanbu Cracker, it will be a cracker of the "Nanbu" district in Iwate Prefecture (Aomori Prefecture). A "Nanbu" district refers to a "Nanbu" han and is not a district of Minami of Iwate Prefecture. Incidentally the area of Minami of Iwate Prefecture is the Date han. A southern part district means the neighborhood in Hachinohe-shi, Aomori from Morioka-shi, Iwate.

These Nanbu Cracker was a popular cracker from ancient times, and when I was small, the grandfather took out Nanbu Cracker from 18KL cans, and was eating to the snack. Since Nanbu Cracker is weak by humidity, it saves in a can. Although sesame and a peanut are main, it is in others variously.

This is fairly nice although the seen touch does not look so nice. Although it is a thin cracker, the peanut is contained by whole. It is nice. It is not necessarily sweet and this peculiar taste and peculiar resistance to the teeth cannot be said not at all. Even the skin of the peanut is contained and it is a wonderful cracker. It cannot stop.

Although it does not understand with a photograph, the picture and the character are written on the table and the reverse side of Nanbu Cracker. It is a peculiar thing for every maker. The ear of a cracker is eaten first and a main part is eaten. It is the way of eating done well as a child. Since he cannot eat all up, I will keep in a can.
