Japanese Noted Foods   Marubouro
 Report

The "Marubouro" is the sweets very popular at a spot currently sold also around it centering on Saga Prefecture. There is also many of the candy store who are making these sweets, and it turns out that it is loved very much.

400 years ago, The "Marubouro" is the southern barbarian confections transmitted from Portugal, and is called first cake in Japan. If it bakes in oven and butter is attached and eaten when eating, it will be said that the flavor baked thoroughly can be enjoyed.

When a smell is smelled, it is a smell eaten by somewhere. It can be hard adhering in "Marubouro". If it is pulled apart and eaten, I will feel that it ate as a child. Inside is in dough [ like the middle of bread and sponge cake ] whose color and feel are also. An outside attaches sweet syrup, has browned it beautifully and is touch like sponge cake.

Now, they are the sweets which exist ordinarily. But, the first Japanese who ate this at ancient times must have been shocked very much.
