Japanese Noted Foods  Hassaku Orange
 Report

These "Hassaku" is citrus fruits of the new Japanese specialty on a par with a mandarin orange. Although it is an image sour [ considering a name ], in fact, that is not right, either. It is said that it was named "Hassaku" since it was discovered in Innoshima-shi, Hiroshima and eaten from the time of the day of "Saku" in August of the lunar calendar. It is made as updating crops of a mandarin orange in many cases, and a producing district also has many same areas as a mandarin orange. Also in it, it is said that Wakayama Prefecture produces 60 percent of the whole country.

Usually, after making it gather a harvest and attain full maturity within the year, it ships. While it had been made to grow into a tree, the thing made to attain full maturity up until last minute is called "Kinari-Hassaku". Furthermore, the thing made to grow into a tree till April is called "Satsuki-Hassaku".

These "Hassaku" is a size like a Chinese citron, and an appearance. There is a very sweet scent in a smell. If it puts on the room, a sweet scent drifts occasionally and it is comfortable. If the skin is stripped off, an inner fruit is also orange and resembles the Chinese citron too. It is not unexpectedly sour, if it turns to the bag of fruits and eats like a Chinese citron. It is decent and is the touch which is not sticky.

If it says that "Hassaku" with little this acidity is easy to eat, that is right, but that is also right if it says that it is unsatisfactory.
