Japanese Noted Foods   Goro-jima Sweet Potato
 Report

The "Goro-jima-Kintoki" potato is an excellent piece authorized by the Kaga tradition vegetables of the specialty of Ishikawa Prefecture. A harvest will be gathered from September to December. For two months to three months, after storing, it is shipped from January to March. Since an area called "Goro-jima" is in the seashore part of Kanazawa and that sand hill ground fitted cultivation of the potato, this "Goro-jima-Kintoki" potato started.

When a large and thick "Goro-jima-Kintoki" potato is steamed, it is infallible to a sweet potato too. If a smell is smelled, a good scent will drift faintly. It cannot have in a hand easily [ it is hot and ]. Although it is thick therefore, it does not cool down easily. When it keeps waiting for and eats cooling down, it is a taste of a nostalgic sweet potato.

The feature of this sweet potato is a simple taste with little sweet taste. Although there are many sweet sweet potatoes these days, but [ to this extent ] I think that it is good. Although I have bought the just taken sweet potato, if it is the stored sweet potato, I may be a little sweeter one. But since there is no heartburn, this is also good.
