Japanese Noted Foods  Smoke Pickles
 Report

The intense pickles of the Tohoku district are this "Iburi-Gakko". Such a thing cannot be found although there may be some persons who think are free pickled Japanese radish. Although it thinks that there are many people who have heard the name, probably, there are few people who have eaten that it is unexpected.

The "Iburi-Gakko" is what was soaked with salt and rice bran after hanging and carrying out the smoked fish of the Japanese radish to the ceiling of a sunken hearth, A "Iburi" is smoked it and a "Gakko" is pickles. The "Iburi-Gakko" is registered into the trademark registration No. (Showa 57) 1588021.

This is bitter although what has been bought suitably in the souvenir store was eaten. It seems that smoke-dried portions are bitter. And if a hard tooth is bad, it may be unable to bite off. It is intense. There are no other such pickles. It worries about the ability to eat all up to the last.

If it asks the man of the Akita native of the home "it is different. It is said that a genuine article is uncannier." Seemingly, a genuine article will be more intense. It is said that what is sold at the souvenir store has dropped a part of the intense individuality.

It may be different if not a souvenir store but "Iburi-Gakko" actually eaten from ancient times in Akita is eaten. I want to eat real "Iburi-Gakko".
