Japanese Noted Foods   Dadacha Bean
 Report

The "Dadacha" beans are the specialties of the Tsuruoka-shi, Yamagata. The soil of the sand of this ground and the temperature difference of day and night are suitable for cultivation of green soybeans. In addition to it, improvement of beans is repeated and the efforts which have made the better thing cannot be overlooked, either.

Although, the "Dadacha" beans are the names (registered trademark) given only from Tsuruoka, they have many delicious beans also except Tsuruoka. "Umecha" beans and "Ggacha" beans are also registered as a trademark. Nationally, the "Kurosaki" beans of Niigata and the "Tengu" beans of Gumma are also famous.

These days, because the Sendai "Chamame" is eaten usually, the difference in the taste with the "Dadacha" beans does not understand it. Before, although the Sendai "Chamame" was also sold as "Dadacha" beans, it became a problem of a trademark and the name was changed. The originator of the beans from the first themselves thinks that he was using the same thing. If a difference is raised by force, the "Dadacha" beans of the thin layer which has wrapped beans are harder. A nice thing is nice.

These beans are more smallish than ordinary green soybeans, and the surface of the skin is not beautiful. When it eats, there is also slightly grassy-smelling flavor, but they are green soybeans of the condensed rich taste.
